Casa Pastel

A lovely and fully redesigned little house from a traditional “Ilha”, a community way of living in Porto that grew in the backyard patios and gardens of the city.
It’s a small house (30 m2) with two floors, high ceilings and an open-plan feel. It’s a very cool space!
The upstairs bedroom has a double bed, a wardrobe and a skylight to let in the sunlight.
The main floor contains a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower, a kitchenette with a small fridge and cooker (see below for more details) and a living room with a sofa, TV and dining area.
Due to its clever architecture, the marble floor and shutters keep the house cool in summer. In winter, the underfloor heating will keep you warm.
At the front of the house there is a small terrace with a table and chairs facing the communal garden for a good breakfast in the sun.
Casa Pastel is one of 6 small houses that share the communal garden and washing machine. You can use the washing machine during your stay.
This small, newly built 1-bedroom house was nominated for a European contemporary architecture award for its use of geometric shapes and unique materials such as marble.
